Frequently Asked Questions
Production & Customization
-
We build custom, handmade furniture - from tables and chairs to smaller home pieces and commercial projects. Each design emphasizes clean lines, solid joinery, and timeless functionality. Our aesthetic draws inspiration from Scandinavian and Japanese design traditions, blending simplicity with craftsmanship to create pieces that feel both contemporary and enduring.
-
We primarily work with North American hardwoods like white oak, walnut, cherry, maple, ash, beech, and sapele. We source materials from reputable suppliers who share our commitment to responsible practices and high-quality products. We aim to use reclaimed wood whenever possible. Some of our favorites to work with are white oak and walnut - white oak is exceptionally strong with beautiful grain patterns depending on the cut, while walnut is a bit softer and offers a rich, warm color. Alternative wood sources can be selected upon request.
-
Most projects are finished in natural hardwax oils. These finishes are durable and showcase the natural beauty of the wood without changing the feel of the piece.
-
All custom projects are guided by our design philosophy, but each component - such as dimensions, and materials - are designed to your specifications.
